Jesus by this point in the gosple of John is becoming widely known to everyone, some people believe he is the christ, other's don't. He continues performing signs and yet as we will see in this chapter, many people are scared to speak positively about him, while the religious leader's hearts harden.

In this chapter pharisees will attempt to trap him in something to give them a reason to kill him, and people will attempt to throw stones at him as a result of what he says.

Doubt. Have you ever been told something by someone else that you doubt the validity of? When you first hear about Jesus, your first likely reaction is to doubt it's true. After all, what human dies then is raised back to life in 3 days? Lets talk about doubt.

Who do you know that can walk on water and multiply bread and fish to feed thousands? I know nobody who is capable of doing this. The disciples are all in my shoes, they don't know anyone who can do so. But they also probably don't even think it's possible.

John 5 shows us the healing of a man who was paralyzed for 38 years, and is the moment where Jesus kicks a hornets nest that now desires to kill him.

Continuing the book of John, we read of Jesus's love for everyone, including the people in the day considered untouchable. And we read of Jesus's power to heal and save people.

Today's chapter was John 3, and there are three major parts to this chapter. It talks about being born again, God's love for us all, and cover's John The Baptist when he exalts Jesus above himself when people approach him about what Jesus was doing.

Continuing the daily bible reading of John we check out chapter 2, where Jesus turns water into wine and shows his rightous anger for how people treat his father's house.

The gospel of John doesn't stuff around, it gets right into it and begins by talking about Jesus's baptism.
